September Target Beauty Box

For those of you who may not know, every month Target sells a beauty box and sometimes they have more than one. This isn’t a subscription but a purchase. You have to go in every month and buy them. They usually range between $7 – $11 and go on sale near the end of the month. Frequently they sell out! For September there were 2 different boxes, Total Hydration, and Your New Basics. Let’s see what was in the boxes and if they are really worth the cost!

Total Hydration Box:

Cost: $7
Included (value):
Pretty Animalz Panda sheet mask ($3.99)
Curls Blueberry Leave-in Conditioner ($2.99)
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Moisturizing Body Lotion (99 cents)
St. Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub (61 cents)
Curls Unleashed Curl Defining Creme ($1.06)
Chapstick Hydration in Blood Orange ($2.99)
SheaMoisture Argan Oil & Argan Milk Shampoo and Blowout Creme (foil pack)
Total Value: $12.63

Your New Basics Box:

Cost: $7
Included and value:
Acure Ultra-Hydrating Shampoo ($1.24)
Acure Ultra-Hydrating Conditioner ($1.24)
Simple Micellar Water ($1.99)
up & up Premium Cotton Rounds (5 cents)
Covergirl Total Tease Mascara, Full-Size Product!!! ($7)
Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb ($1.77)
Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion ($1.08)
Sensodyne ProNamel ($3.23)

Total Value: $18.60

Final Verdict:

I feel pretty meh about the hydration box. I don’t feel like I wasted money on it but I don’t know that I got a deal either. I think the big winner was the New Basics box. I have wanted to try that mascara and the cost of that is the box. But on the whole, I do enjoy both boxes!

Have you ever gotten a Target beauty box? What is the best item you have ever received?

Dressember: Fighting Human Trafficking

Decembers 1st's dress!

Decembers 1st’s dress!

I think that we can all agree that human trafficking is horrible! It is one of those unspoken crimes against people all over the world. I know I am not alone when I say that human trafficking grieve’s my heart but I felt powerless to do anything about it. We are powerless no more! To help fight human trafficking I have decided to kick off this site by supporting Dressember.

December 2nd's dress

December 2nd’s dress

What is Dressember? It is a campaign where people like me commit to wearing a dress every day in December and people pledge money! That money goes to helping fight human trafficking by doing things like funding a rescue or helping with after care.

So I will be posting to my Instagram and Facebook what I am wearing every day in December. I will tell you where I got the dresses and any details you all might want to know. I will also post a once a week round up here. I ask that you go over to my fundraising page and consider contributing a little bit of money (or a lot a bit of money;).

Deal? Oh, be prepared to see some of the dresses many times! December is a lot of days;).
